SKRADIN - popular nautical destination whose beauty is crowned by three most attractive sights: Skradinski buk waterfalls, Roški waterfall and Franciscan islet Visovac with the votive shrine of Our Lady from Visovac.

Skradin is a little town situated 16 km from Šibenik, with history of more than 2200 years. It is located where the river Krka and the Adriatic Sea live a harmonious coexistence, where the continental climate approaches the sea, where the mixing of fresh and salt water enables successful farming of shellfish and fish. Whilst fishing has been a major city industry for centuries, tourism has taken over.

In prehistoric times an Illyrian settlement which was called Scardona was located here and later a Roman municipality. From that period remnants of plumbing, buildings and epigraphic monuments are visible. Above town you will find the remains of towers and walls of a Venetian and later Turkish fort.

Skradin is a town of traditional gatherings with a cappella singing, boccia, carnivals and certainly culinary delights provided by restaurants and taverns with Dalmatian smoked ham, home made bread, fresh fish and seafood, barbecue and excellent wines.
